Does Veracart Offer a Free Trial?

Do you charge transaction fees?

No! We don't believe in taking any of your profits. As a business we understand that variable costs are annoying, so you'll never pay any transaction fees for your Veracart store.

Do all plans include all features?

All our plans do have unlimited bandwidth, products, and storage, but are differentiated by what set of features you need to use. For example, if you need real-time shipping rates from UPS at checkout then you would pick our Gold plan or above. Don't worry though, you can start with our most basic plan and upgrade as needed. There are no contracts or penalties for changing your plan.

I'm looking to switch. Can I import my catalog?

Yes, you can import customers, products, images and variations into your Veracart store from a standard CSV (comma separate values) file. Most shopping carts support exporting in this format, and we are happy to import and setup your store for you.

Is my data safe and secure?

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Paypal, Check, Money Order.

Can I host my web site anywhere and still use your shopping cart software?

Yes! Veracart is the only hosted shopping cart software that is truly hosted. You simply add a few lines of code on your web site or content management system and you have a powerful shopping cart on your web site. Veracart is compatible with 99.9% of all content management systems on the market today.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes, you can use your own domain name. If you have not purchased a domain name, you can purchase one through us by clicking here. If you have already purchased a domain name through a third party domain registrar, then we will provide you with the settings that you will need to apply in your domain registrar in order for the domain to work on your Veracart site.

Do I need my own SSL certificate?

We do provide a free shared SSL certificate for all plans. How ever if you are looking for dedicated resources we can provide you with your own SSL certificate.

How does Unlimited Bandwidth Work?

Veracart is the only hosted shopping cart to provide unlimited bandwidth, unlimited products, unlimited space, on every paid plan. If your shopping cart is trying to limit your growth to increase their bottom line you should think twice about that. If you use a lot of bandwidth to sell your products, that's not a problem.

Can I upgrade between plans?

Of course. It's easy to upgrade between plans. Just login to your store's control panel and click the My Profile the top right of the screen, then choose the upgrade link. You can then change your plan as required.

Can I upgrade from the free trial to a paid plan?

Yes, you can upgrade your free trial to a paid plan and all of your data (products, orders, customers, etc) will remain intact. The upgrade process is automatic and painless - we promise!

Are there any contracts to sign?

No. Payments are made month-by-month and you can cancel at any time. If you cancel we will stop billing you immediately. We're all about choice and if you don't like Veracart then we wont force you to stay.

Can I use a sub-domain for my store?

Yes, you can use a sub-domain with your Veracart store. Just choose a plan above and you'll be asked how you want to setup your domain name.

Do I need my own merchant account?

It's up to you. A merchant account allows you to accept credit cards from your store and get paid directly into your checking account. If you don't have a merchant account we can provide you with one (learn more) or you can use one of our 30+ payment providers instead, including PayPal and Google Checkout. A lot of our clients start with PayPal or Google Checkout and then move to their own merchant account (which integrates with Veracart in 2 clicks from your store's control panel) after their store has been live for a few months and they are already making tons o' cash.

Does my payment gateway work with Veracart?

Does my Veracart store include email accounts?

Yes, your Veracart store includes unlimited email accounts. You can create your email accounts from our Email Manager in your store's control panel. You can keep your same hosting company and web site if you so choose. Our desire is help you grow and make it in the ecommerce world using the Veracart software.

What software does Veracart integrate with?

Veracart integrates with many different types of applications, including order management and accounting software, as well as analytics and affiliate tracking software. We list all of the software applications Veracart integrates with here.
